Thirunelly (Kerala)This is a hill surrounded by valleys on the sides, and famous for the ancient Hindu temple there. Mountains rise from the valleys. The Brahmagiri Mountain and its sholas can be seen behind the temple when viewed from roadside entrance. Brahmagiri is the highest mountain peak in Wayanad district.

The shrine is shielded with 30 granite columns and the ground is paved with huge square pieces of granite. The crystal clear waters of the Papanasini River running downhill add to the enchantment of the place.

Thirunelly Entertainment and Night LifeKidding around Thirunelly
A 10 km trek through the mountains will take you to Pakshipathalam, which is the habitat of many small birds and flora. Permission from the Wayanad Divisional Forest Officer is required for the trek. This place can be accessed only by trekking.
